I started as an apprentice motorcycle mechanic at W R Baker & Sons Honda and Ducati Importers.

After completing my apprenticeship I remained at the company for a further two years before leaving to open my own Motorcycle repair business, Dave Scobie Motorcycles.

After many successful years I sold the business to take a two years break and I became a Truck driver.

During this time I met Mr Paul Worth, founder of Motorcycle Assessing & Disposals, who in 1982 offered me a position assessing for him based on my extensive knowledge and experience in motorcycles.

In 1988 Paul retired and I took over as Manager for the next eight years.

In 1996 I became the proud owner of the business and over the past 12 years I have continued to grow and expand the business in new and exciting ways.

I had a successful career in Speedway Sidecar racing for 18 season and am now retired due to injury.

I remained very interested in the sport as a Sponsor including Junior sidecars and was President of the NSW Speedway Sidecar Riders association for 5 years.

Eventually I retired due to the commitment required to grow and expand my business.
