It is a requirement under the Federal Privacy Act that you are informed of how we use the information provided to us in accordance with providing goods and services to our clients and customers. At Motorcycle Assessing your privacy has always been important to us and as a result of the recent changes to the Privacy Act the only change we have been required to implement is to make this information available to you.

Motorcycle Assessing

In the course of providing our services there is certain information we require.
This information is provided to us by your insurer, an insurer you are claiming against, and yourself. This information is used primarily to compile an assessment report for the insurer.
This information is used or disclosed for related, or secondary purposes such as:
Authorising repairs to your motor vehicle and providing necessary information to your repair to assist in repairing your vehicle, administration of these repairs and preparing the necessary accounts for those repairs. Contact information may also be disclosed to your repairer if it is necessary for them to contact you to make arrangements for those repairs.
In preparing of forms that are required by law to be lodged with the Roads and Traffic Authority or any other official authority in the event of a total loss.
In preparation of legal documents relating to administration of settlement of a claim where necessary.

Motorcycle Disposals

In the course of selling a motor vehicle there is certain information we must obtain from the purchaser. This information is used primarily to satisfy the legal requirements as set by the Motor traders Association and also The Roads and Traffic Authority. This information is recorded in an official Motor Dealers register and would include your full name, current address, and drivers licence number. This information contained in the dealers register may be disclosed to the Motor Traders Association, the RTA and to another government department such as the NSW Police Services at there request and/or where we are legally required to disclose this information.
This information is used or disclosed for related, or secondary purposes such as:
The purchasers’ details such as Name, address, and Drivers Licence number are disclosed to the seller as required by motor vehicle consignment regulations.
Security of your information
All information retained by Motorcycle Assessing and Disposals as required by law and government or association regulation is stored securely in alarmed premises with security code entry and our database is protected by password access to prevent any unauthorised access to this information.
